2377-32 & 22 Portable Appliance Testing with Management
The subject of Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is one of the most misunderstood areas of electrical work and is sadly, often carried out incorrectly year after year at great cost to the customer and potentially risking the safety of the user. Our courses are designed to give PAT inspectors the opportunity to fully understand why and when we need to do PAT testing and how PAT is carried out correctly.

2377-22 Basic Portable Appliance Testing
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is an important job and must be carried out correctly. This role must be performed by a person who is competent to do so - historically PAT testing was carried out only by those with formal electrical training and because of this City & Guilds 2377 course assumes those attending have prior electrical knowledge.

Increasingly those carrying out PAT testing are not trained formally in electrical work and may be for example Caretakers or Office staff. To enable these people to attend the course we have designed a two day course that includes the basic electrical knowledge required to succeed in passing the 2377 exam.

2377-22 Portable Appliance Testing (Fast Track)
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is an important job and must be carried out correctly. This role must be performed by a person who is competent to do and because of this City & Guilds 2377 course assumes those attending have prior electrical knowledge.

This fast track course gives those already holding an electrical qualification the chance to complete the course in one day, reducing the time they spend away from work.
